What's a Guild?
All specialists must belong to a guild representing their skill before they can be hired. Guilds protect the reputation of their professions and defend the rights of their members. Specifically guilds:
How do you join a Guild?
The first step in becoming a card-carrying member of a guild is to apply for a novitiate position and begin an intensive two week training in your chosen field of specialization. At the end of these weeks, your competency will be assessed by the guild and your status published. Producers will then be allowed to hire you for specific tasks based on their needs and your abilities. Your salary will be determined in part by your level of expertise determined by the guild assessments. The guild is responsible for establishing and administering competency assessments on an ongoing basis which allows you to raise your earning potential throughout the project.
Please indicate in the form below which guild you would like to apply to initially. You can change your mind later, but the sooner you decide, the more time you will have to develop your expertise.

Resource table (organized by topic)
As a Guild group, assign at least 2 people to review each of the resources in this table that address skills you need. Prepare a "recommendation" that answers the following:
- Is it suitable for a beginner? If not, what should the learner know before starting this tutorial?
- How useful will this tutorial be for members of your Guild? Does it address a real need in at least one of the VR worlds being developed?
- Should this be a "required competency"? If yes, how will you assess if a Guild member has this skill?
