Today we researched more deeply one of the three problems you identified last week. Tomorrow, everyone will pitch their favorite problem to the rest of the class in hopes of recruiting a group of 3-4 to develop solutions to the problem. To this end, today everyone chose a single problem to focus on and found a minimum of 8 sources (3 of which should have come from last Friday's assignment) along with 5 pictures that could be used in a compelling video pitch of this problem. Use this form to document the sources you find. For the section titled "abstract", write a summary of the overall purpose of the article. You can attach your worksheet from Friday instead of filling out an abstract for for those references. Use this form to keep track of what you've done. Be sure to share any Google Docs you create with Dr. Don. Be prepared Tuesday to present your problem to the rest of the class. Remember that for now, the focus should be on the problem, not necessarily the solution. You can't propose a quality solution if you don't understand the problem (remember the empathy part of the design thinking exercise).

AuthorYour "energineering" teacher is Dr. Don. He loves to learn how the world works and push himself to tackle new challenges. If you are a like-minded person, you will love this class. Even if you don't think you like science or math, I hope you discover that you are better at it than you ever realized. Archives
