Class assignment for Monday, Dec 14.
You've finished your book. You've collected some of your thoughts about how you liked it and what you learned from it. It's time to write a brief review suitable for posting to a book review site like Goodreads or Amazon. The review must be no shorter than 200 words and no longer than 1000. Here a link to a website that describes how to write a good review of a non-fiction book. It lists three items every good review should have:
Thursday, Dec 10 Watch the NOVA episode "Einstein's Big Idea". During the video, complete the Building Ideas worksheet. Turn in the worksheet at the end of class. Friday, Dec 11
Literature Circles: This should be your last reading. After discussing the reading, complete the final review worksheet (copies are in your folders). If you are missing any worksheets, this is the last day you can include them in the folders. Molecular Workbench: We will be building a solar cell next week. To understand how solar cells work, complete the "How solar cells work" activity in Molecular Workbench. You may work in groups of two (but no larger). Only the final page of the activity will be graded. If you have time, continue with the "How batteries work" activity. |
AuthorYour "energineering" teacher is Dr. Don. He loves to learn how the world works and push himself to tackle new challenges. If you are a like-minded person, you will love this class. Even if you don't think you like science or math, I hope you discover that you are better at it than you ever realized. Archives
